silly goose.

my life has been full of silly moments these past few days.

is it silly that my room smells like cologne and super glue?

is it silly that I almost took my baby blanket to school today?

is it silly that I've been playing my extreme bop it for about four hours?

is it silly that i get excited over dance moms?

yesterday at the basketball game, I stole Kailee's phone and organized ALL of her apps. if you've ever seen her phone, you'd know how big of a job this is. it took me ten minutes. and then she called me an freak. but I enjoyed organizing:) i also took silly pictures of me kaitlyn and kobe.

and today i tripped over my red rainboots a million times. while wearing a skirt. lovely! but today was just silly. and there is a silly story to every class period.

first: so, in Anderson's class, her desks face each other. so you automatically stare at the front row people. it's just a habit, not on purpose. and I got a front row seat. so today i was happily working on my worksheet when after class Desi came up to me and told me that the first two rows on the other side of the room were staring at me. creeped me out a little.

second: ohhhh boy. I love this class. i sit next to madi and reagan and travis and mark and roman. it's a party all day. and today mark and roman felt my rainboots, mark wasn't allowed to put his feet on my "dedicated" desk or the "dedicated" footbasket. and me and reagan are twelve o clock friends:) oh, and me and Madi matched!

third: I'm an idiot and thought even numbers meant how many people at our table. me and chloe are table three. that's not an even number.

fourth: tripped over myself lots. sang a song about being lonely with harley and me and ricky couldn't find a dang duet song.

fifth: fell asleep. for twenty minutes. during class. and I sit in front of Holbrook's desk. WIN! I had a dream where a girl in exercise clothes danced in front of the class. mark woke me up by kicking my basket.

sixth: hate. this. class. nothing silly today.

seventh: me and travis and casey talked the whole time. it was joy and we looked up Bill Nye on google. he's not dead, just to inform you.

and then i skipped the game because i felt a migraine coming on. not joy.

I just love silliness =D

me and Junie B. Jones are the same.

so basically, I'm a five year old in a teenagers body.

I eat fruit snacks, I climb trees, I paint and color, I sing randomly, I dance randomly, I cry randomly, I giggle for no reason, I laugh at dumb things, I'm sensitive, I'm crazy.

I love being immature:)

okay. so today something clicked into my head and I almost died. this has happened TWICE this year:

okay. so today we had a new boy in ninth grade at our school. and all the girls (besides me and some others) were FREAKING out. really. I felt bad for the poor kid. I mean, it was his first day in a new state and these obnoxious girls were all over him. I would've screamed and punched them.

So I decided to befriend the lad! I mean, why not? new friends! that's cool!

and I was walking with him to biology, and all the girls around us are trying to be cool/flirty/funny. but they were really being annoying. and then I started spazzing out because I couldn't get through a croud of people so I just started yelling at them like I always do, and I used my binder as a "force field" and was making Star Trek sounds. and the kid follows me and gives me one of the weirdest looks i've ever seen.

and then it hits me

for all of you who aren't as cool as you could be and haven't read Junie B Jones go and read them right now. but in one of the books, it's called "Junie B Jones loves Handsome Warren" and all of Junie B's friends all fall in "love" with the new boy in kindergarten and they're trying to impress each other. and Junie B. is just being her crazy loveable self and he calls her a "nutball"

if you're not making the connections, I'm Junie B. The "nutball"

and this has happened TWICE this year! Once with new boy (I think his name is Jonah? Dang. I'll find out tomorrow) and once with Larebear. I was the crazy and all the other girls were freaking out.

I'm not normal, but that's okay. I like me a lot =D

me. totally me.

even more me.

my hero.

awkward.

I love awkward. Awkward the TV show, awkward moments, awkward movies in Seminary, awkward family photos. Everything under the sun that is awkward.

but the most awkward thing I love is Stake Dances.

Stake Dances are the definition of awkward. It's a bunch of sweaty Mormon teenagers spazzing out to a fast song, or doing the "Jr. High wobble" (as Olivia would call it) to slow songs. You eat microwaved food, otter pops and you just dance and no one cares because you're all doing the same thing. It's awesome!

PS: the Jr High Wobble is the dance where kids are as far away fro each other as possible while still touching each other. (arms hyper extended. that kinda thing.)

So we had a Stake Dance Saturday night that went for THREE HOURS. Yeah, three. It was supposed to go until ten thirty, but i was there helping clean up till eleven.

anyway.

I had a blast. Me and my dear Olivia Perez awkward danced it out. and we did it with everything in our souls and hearts. and Kate came with me, so it was a total crazy fest. and this happened for two and a half hours.
and it was one of the best nights of my life. seriously. I'd rather be awkward dancing the chicken dance than going to a Haunted House or a party or movie. I'm weird. but I like it:)

AND I have a funny story to tell you all. it involves Desi Loveless. and Jacob (a kid with a Jedi Braid) and awkward.

so. near the end of the dance, Desi grabbed me and Olivia and made us come with her to talk to a cute boy (he really wasn't that attracive, but Desi was ready to explode). so she went up and practically screamed,

"Hi! What's your name?"
"Jacob?"
"Oh! That's cool! My name's Desi! What school do you go to?"
"Bountiful Jr."
"Cool....."
and then she made the most priceless face at me and Olivia and bolted. I said bye to Jacob and his crew with Jedi Braids and walked away pracitcally peeing myself.

so then she keeps thinking she's never ever gonna see him again. and she keeps seeing him in the hallways of the stake center and she keeps screaming "HI JACOB!"

and then she went up to him (because she thought he was leaving) and went up and asked him for a hug. after an awkward one armed hug thingy, she said,

"I THINK YOU'RE REALLY CUTE!" and booked it away waving like a crazy person.

and then we see Jacob (by himself) walking away from the stake center at eleven at night. Jamie screamed at Desi, "ASK HIM IF HE WANTS A RIDE! NOWS YOUR CHANCE!"

so then Desi leaps out of the car and runs to Jacob, asking him if he wants a ride. he says yes and they awkwardly walk to the car together. and then we all introduce ourselves (and by now the poor kid thinks we're retarded) and then we drop him off, all waving like crazies.

and that's my story.

life is good:)

=D

smiley face icon

okay, so it's nine thirty, I just got home twenty minutes ago and I haven't even started on my homework for tomorrow. awesome.

but I don't care. I'm happy. I'm happy. I'm happy.

and I'll sing out to the rooftops.

I'M HAPPY.

not actually just happy, more like extatic. more like bouncing off the walls.

life is great:)

and guess what? you're going to have to guess why. cause I'm not tellin the internet. noooo way. what if my creepy old man stalker is reading this and finds out and kills me because I'm so happy. go away creepy old man, no one likes you. (but I love you Kayla. Yeah, I said it)

another reason is because I found out about Rachel Goodrich. She's a freaking awesome artist who plays the uke and kazoo. classy. I love her dearly. Her song Light Bulb is my new favorite. Youtube it.

this is Rachel:)

I'm in love

anyway. today was a freaking busy day. I woke up, went to school, :), then had a basketball game. We lost, but our team is gonna be pretty good. there was just a black kid on steriods that had super huge arm muscles from North Layton. Woah. and most of their guys were hot. very. hot. anyway. the game ended at five, so i had to call daddy, go home and change at lightning speed for the choir concert.

holy. crap. best concert of my life. I love choir. we're like a little family. we sing, we dance, we scream, we yell and we just love each other:) and we've all embarassed ourselves by singing in front of each other. we're tight. I love those kids.

and the concert was just a blast. our songs sounded great, especially our acapella piece. i loved it. then Nightmare was a blast. we looked creepy and the song was great. but the whole time I was thinking of Ma Young saying to the boys, "Cool Joes, yeah! You're cool!" and I almost died. and the whole time i was smiling my face off, because of other reasons that are not to be shared all over the world wide web.

and then after me, Amber, Kate, Annie and Jake went to sub zero! And I saw Sam Hellewell! I love Sam! We go way back and she is darling! I love her dearly!

and yeah, now I'm home and I'm supposed to be working on biology and english and a map quiz, but I'd rather blog:)

my motto now:)

Gives me HOPE.

I'm feelin' hopeful.

I've finished my Student Gov. Presentation, I finished my killer math UEA homework (Yes, she assigned HW over UEA. That's illegal), I got to see my friends that I've missed ever so much at school, Jamie took us for ice cream after school and... well ya know... =D

maybe you don't know. oh well. you can guess. hint: I'm a teenage girl.

But seriously, school days like today are the days that keep me going. sometimes I feel like crawling into a dark hole and never ever coming out again, but on this last really nice fall day of the year, I'm feeling good.

If it's the last nice day of the year, why the heck am I blogging?!

because blogging is super fun.

but on this gorgeous yellow red and orange October day, I'm just happy. how can you NOT be?

so: story time. yesterday, after young women and young men combined meeting (the most embarassing thing ever. don't even talk to me about it) me and Becca decided to go on a Sunday walk to the temple. Best. Idea. Ever. It was so gorgeous and warm and lovely. And I was with my Becca. how I love her. And we just caught up and talked about boys (that was pretty much all we talked about, that boy crazy child) and laughed ourselves silly. Oh, and we ran away from some vicious dogs. But when we got to the temple to walk around on the grounds we found out that it was CLOSED. What?! We were mad. We spent a good fifteen minutes walking up the freaking hill to see the temple, and it's closed. Oh, and I almost got my head stuck in between the bars when I was trying to sneak in. ooops. maybe that's why I shouldn't do that...

but I'm just happy, and Ours by Taylor Swift is on repeat on my playlist. now I'm going to go watch nightmare before christmas so I can get in the Halloween mood...

PS: I think I'm going to be princess Leia for Halloween. But I need a hot boy to be Han Solo... I'll find one.. just wait.

taylor swift has a song for everything.

So don't you worry your pretty little mind,
people throw rocks at things that shine,
But they can't take what's ours,
The stakes are high,
the water's rough,
But this love is ours.

I'm taking a break from all day sunday homework day. dang, it sucks. Darn procrastination! But I just love this song, and it's been on replay on my iPod and itunes all day. And if I have to write another sentence on Milton Hershey, i'm gonna scream out the window.

and i like this big font.

anyway, this weekend has been prime. i spent Thursday doing nothing, which was kinda lame. I can't just sit around and do nothing, it's not my personality. Friday, I spent the day at Lagoon with my Kylee, then we went to night games at Oak Hills with Casey, Abby, Larry, Dillon, Taylor, Junho and Josh. that was a blast too. then I spent all saturday waiting to go to Frightmares at night with Kylee, and that was fun too.

although those frightmares characters don't ever carry on a conversation with me. And we met hot sophmores in line for the Spider! ohhh baby, those boys were fine. And then the grown men sitting next to me on Wicked were giggling. yes, GIGGLING.

and then me and Josh decided that all the weird stuff happens to me. why me? oh well, I like weirdness and awkwardness. it's just how I roll:)

ahhhhh. I'm very happy.

*HAPPY DANCE*

that's all.

guess who rocks at learning?

yeah, the answer is me.

Yesterday, I only missed two on my Geography test that I DIDN'T EVEN STUDY FOR. And I got an 8.89 out of 10 on my Geometry final (WAHOOOOOOOO!) and I only missed two on my Latin Test in Biology (and I hardly even studied for that)

AND I got a 198 out of 200 on my term project for choir!

YIPPEE!

I know this is kinda bragging, but guess what? It's my blog! I can brag a little if I want to!

AND NOW I HAVE THREE DAYS LEFT OF THE FOUR DAY WEEKEND.

and I didn't do anything today. I'm serious. I woke up around nine and watched TV. ALL DAY. I even watched The Goonies by myself and enjoyed it.

I need friends. It's all because dang Kailee is in Vegas. And I miss her like crazy. She doesn't even reply to texts because she's just having too much fun. (but not toooo much fun. cause I'm not there)

Also. I am just a happy camper. school worked out for me. everything kinda fell into place. And i know why. but I'm not sharing EVERYTHING with you guys. I need some experiences I keep to myself.

but I still love you!

HAPPY DANCE! I CAN LEARN! WHEEEEEE!

this is what I usually look like in school.

things that give me joy

I stole the "gives me joy" thing from Annie. But I use it so much that it is 1/8 mine. so it's a little mine.

but seriously, look at these pictures and if you have a rock instead of a heart you won't smile. (or laugh so hard you cried like I did)

seriously? the happiest picture I've ever seen. JOY.

I love Justin Bieber, this just made me laugh very much though.

these are just a few!!! I wanted to font to be big. so ta da!

if you can't tell, I'm felling totally random and happy today. maybe it's because I drank mountain dew at Landry's after church, or maybe because i just am happy=D

=D =D =D

I'm such a teen.

soooo. blog challenge! i gotta finish this dang thing! goodness.

Day 21: a recipe.

here's the deal. i can't cook. AT ALL. I burn our pans and i make our cupcakes like soup. one time, i thought the recipe for muffins said 2 cups of milk instead of half a cup. so i put in two cups and then it was disgusting and bleh. and then one time at carli's house we made red velvet cupcakes and they were a sugary velvety mess.

so here's my recipe for the only food i can make well. RAMEN.

ingridients (i think i spelled that wrong. too bad, it's sunday) : you need a ramen packet. i suggest chicken or oriental. maybe beef on a good day. and water.

step one: start your water. but in a little less than half the pan full of water. high.

step two: crush your ramen packet. not into shreds, but into fourths is a good way.

step three, when the water boils, set it to a little less than medium, but not low. place ramen into pan. (not with the packaging. trust me on this, it tastes bad. TAKE OFF THE WRAPPER.)

step four: set timer for 2:30. then stir occasionally.

step five: drain your water. drain most of the water before putting flavoring. not all of it though, or it's disgusting.

step six: eat your ramen. to do this, you put your fork (no spoon) into bowl. twist and place into mouth. then chew by moving your jaw. swallow. repeat until bowl is empty.

ta-da!

Thoughts

first, on the list of things roaming around in my head, is the blog challenge.

Day 15: your dream house.

So, when I'm older, I'm going to DESIGN my own house. with my psychiatric degree, nothing can stop the power of older Emmie! And this house will be huge, with a massive wraparound porch with a hot tub. and it will have three floors. middle floor, living area, huge kitchen with big island in the middle and big fridge and double ovens. living room with big TV. bathrooms. yada yada. upstairs, mine and hot husbands floor. big master bedroom, balcony and big bathroom. downstairs, kidlings space. playroom, rooms, la la.

ta da!!

second on my list is to express my appreciation for my dear friends: Kai and Kaitlyn. They have been my buddies these past couple weeks and I just love them so much it hurts. but not a bad kind, a good kind of hurt.

third, today was crappy. I was exhausted all day and I feel sick. and other things happened, but I'd rather NOT share those on the internet, thank you very much.

fourth, I LOVE YOU KAYLA BAIRD! THANKS FOR READING!

OH AND i LOVE YOU MELANY CHAVEZ!

(these are darling girls who talk to me about my blog at school, so here's a shout out to them =D)

fifth, life is getting better every day.

sixth, a funny quote:

Expect problems, and eat them for BREAKFAST!

Sunday, October 2, 2011

Life might not be the party we hope for, but while we're here, we might as well DANCE

I've been dancing a lot these past couple days. In my head, practicing dance or just spazzing out. This random dancing is caused by many reasons:

Abduction. Taylor Launtner. Kaitlyn and Kai. The best joy of my life.

BEST.MOVIE.EVER.

two words: 80s. Dresses.

Conference and our hilarious prophet. oh my. "I NEEDED that five dollar bill."

we got a 50 inch TV!!! I'm not much of a TV person, but I got up early this morning so I could watch on it before my siblings. I'm a nerd.

Yesterday, I spent the whole morning reading random facts off of the internet. My favorite on is that tan skin is actually damaged skin cells, and if you tan you'll probably die sooner or get diseases. GOOD DAY FOR PALE REDHEADS LIKE ME!

okay, Day 14: a non-fictional book you like.

hmm.... I'm really a fiction kinda person... so my favorite non fictional book is the Book of Mormon. It's the book I read pretty much every night. And it's kind of what I LIVE by. and it's just a good book.

now, I'm going to go listen to conference and make Kenz some JB cupcakes:)

I hope they turn out like this!

luckiest girl in the world

the luckiest girl in the world?

me.

I just am. Even though school is going to get really tough and everyone's teenage hormones are going to go crazy soon, I'm appreciating my life for right now.

Because I am a list junkie, i shall name WHY I'm so fortunate.

1. my friends. People close to me know I've gone through some "friend trauma" this summer. But, it's actually made me stronger, and helped me realize who my real friends are. and I've even met some NEW friends this year. they are grand and amazing and I'm so lucky to have them in my life. I'm going to hold on to them:)

2. my mom is done with crazy back to school working season. I get her back to myself! I've missed talking to my mama. She's really my best friend and I love her more than I could ever say or write.

3. school. okay, yes, the hard work isn't fun a lot of the time. but I'm really lucky to be an officer and meet new people from new schools, our school, other schools. or just people. I also have all my best friends at school. ahh. I love them so much.

4. family. family life has been pretty great for me. Mr. King taught us something on Friday that I've actually taken to heart. and it's made me want to help my parents and siblings out a whole lot more. What did he say? Well, hopefully you all will take it to heart too:

"Switching to a parent point of view. I pay for dance, soccer, lunch, food, clothes, shelter and anything else. All I ask for is a little cooperation. Clean up a little bit, keep your room neat, just be helpful. It really makes a difference."

5. this blog. some people ask me if I care that I don't have a lot of comments and stuff like that. well I don't care. this blog thing is really for my benefit. I know that sounds selfish, but it's helped me grow and organize my thoughts and helps me as a writer. I love to write. So if you read this, I appreciate you, but my blog doesn't revolve around you.

6. I live in a country that is strong. And even though ten years ago 9/11 happened, we can still honor those people that died and pray for their families. <3
